Terms and Conditions of booking your winter Alpine holiday with Venture Ski in Sainte Foy in the French Alps
In this document, Venture Leisure Limited is referred to as “Venture Ski” and the term “Client” refers to the lead client in a party responsible for booking and all other members of the party who will use the Venture Ski service.
Payment And Confirmation
To make a booking with Venture Ski, you must contact us using the details shown on this website. Venture Ski will confirm availability and you must then fill in the booking form that we will send to you and return it with the appropriate payment. No contract shall exist between Venture Ski and the Client until this process is completed and the Client’s initial payment has been received and cleared.
For bookings made more than 10 weeks prior to arrival, we will require a deposit of £200 per person. The full balance of the holiday will be due 10 weeks prior to the date of arrival. For bookings made within 10 weeks of arrival, the full amount will be payable at the time of booking.
For self-catering holidays, a deposit of £500 is payable with the booking, which will be refunded at the end of the holiday, less any amounts for damages or missing items.
Arrival And Departure
All holidays start at 16:00 hours on the day of arrival and end at 10:00 hours on the day of departure. If you arrive in the resort earlier or wish to leave later, then Venture Ski will attempt to accommodate your arrangements or provide storage for luggage, but make no guarantee that this will be possible.
All holidays exclude travel unless in the case of transfers from airports or train stations specifically arranged at the time of booking, for which a supplementary charge applies. Transfers are not considered booked until Venture Ski has received a copy of the confirmation e-mail the airline or travel company has sent you. In the unlikely event of your flight being delayed, we guarantee to cover one hour waiting time at the airport for you. Should your flight or train be delayed more than one hour a waiting charge of £30 per hour will be made (per vehicle) in order to cover the waiting driver’s wage.
This means optional Tea/Coffee in bed, Breakfast 7:30-9:00am, Afternoon tea/cakes 4:00-5:00pm, Canapés, Pre-dinner drink, Dinner including house wine 7:30-10:00pm. Dinner is for six nights only. You will be informed on arrival of the staff night off, and arrangements for restaurant booking will be offered.
In consideration of other guests, use of the Venture ski spa is not permitted after 9pm. Children and young adults should not use the Pool, hot tub or sauna unsupervised and adults should follow instructions for their own safety. It is not recommended that young children use these facilities. Venture Ski takes no responsibility for accidents caused whilst using our spa facilities and guests do so at their own risk. Should any spa facility such a pool, hot tubs or sauna become unavailable for any reason, we cannot guarantee being able to repair or replace it during your holiday, and do not offer any compensation for inconvenience or curtailed use in such an event.
Our nanny/childcare service must be pre-booked at the time of booking your holiday. Nannies work from 9:00am – 5:00pm Sunday to Saturday. Availability is on a first come, first served basis and cannot be requested in the resort. The service is subject to availability and no refund can be given for late cancellation or non-utilisation. Children who are ill must be supervised by their parents during, and for 24 hours after recovery, and for the benefit of other children and guests, may be refused access to the childcare service without refund.
Alterations By The Client
If it becomes necessary to alter your holiday arrangements, the Client must inform Venture Ski as soon as possible. Venture Ski will advise the Client of any changes in cost that might occur as a result or any refund that might be available. Venture Ski makes no guarantee that a refund can be given. However, Venture Ski will make reasonable endeavours to resell the Holiday in which case the Client will be entitled to a refund of payment made less any discounts given or administrative costs incurred.
Alterations By Venture Ski
In the event that a material alteration to a holiday for which a booking has been made becomes necessary, Venture Ski will inform the Client promptly. The Client will be offered the choice of accepting the alternative arrangements or a full refund of monies paid to Venture Ski.
Cancellation Of A Holiday By Venture Ski
Venture Ski will only cancel a holiday in the event of non-payment by a Client, or circumstances beyond our control, such as Force Majeure, war, terrorism, natural or technical disasters, robbery, illness, government intervention, abnormal weather conditions (including avalanche). In these circumstances, Venture Ski accepts no responsibility for compensation to clients. Venture Ski shall have no responsibility or liability to the Client for loss of opportunity to take a holiday.
It is a condition that you and your party obtain suitable Travel Insurance, from a reputable provider, which must at least include the following:
• Emergency Medical Expenses including, amongst other costs; ambulance charges and repatriation
• Cancellation of your trip or Curtailment cutting short your trip
• Personal Liability to include, amongst other liabilities; damage caused by your (or your party’s) negligence to the property in which you are staying and may not include a clause which restricts actions being taken against a travelling companion other than family and must include contractual liability of the party leader for the actions of his party
• Travel and transfer delays which must include amongst other costs; additional costs incurred in the event of a delay
• The policy must include the activities you are likely to do and in particular skiing and snowboarding on and off piste with or without a guide
• The policy must cover the period from the date of booking to the last day of your trip and may not have a clause allowing the insurer to cancel the policy nor vary the terms usually following medical reasons unless there has been individual underwriting with specific terms.
Note:- There are of course other sections to a Travel Insurance policy such as Baggage and ski equipment, Legal Expenses, Personal Accident and so on
In the event that you fail to obtain suitable Travel Insurance we shall not be liable for any costs incurred or claims made against us due to your failure to comply with this term.

Venture Ski accepts no responsibility other than it is obliged to do by law for negligence of its agents or employees causing physical injury to Clients. Venture Ski accepts no responsibility or liability for any act or mishap causing injury or loss as a result of Force Majeure events, war, terrorism, natural or technical disasters, robbery, illness, government intervention, abnormal weather conditions (including avalanche) or other such happenings. We require you to take out adequate comprehensive insurance to cover all activities and eventualities associated with your stay with Venture Ski, including public liability, property damage and cancellation of your holiday.
Liability Of The Client And Venture Ski
Venture Ski will accept no responsibility for the actions of its Clients and shall not be liable for any claims made against them, as a result of their actions, by other clients or third parties. Clients undertake to behave in such a manner not to be detrimental to the enjoyment of other Clients, the general public or the staff or reputation of Venture Ski. Venture Ski reserves the right to claim back from the Client any costs or charges incurred due to damage to a chalet whether accidentally caused or not. Damage includes cigarette burns, misuse of electrical equipment, or wine spillage. In circumstances of extreme behaviour, Venture Ski reserves the right to cancel a holiday forthwith and eject the Client from the chalet without compensation.
Complaints And Difficulties
In spite of Venture Ski’s best efforts, occasionally problems do arise. If you are unhappy about any aspect of your holiday or the Venture Ski service, you must address your concern immediately to the Venture Ski Resort Manager, and also if applicable to the Chalet Host or other supplier whose services are involved. Venture Ski will make all reasonable efforts to resolve any problems. If you wish to make a written complaint full details must be sent to our UK address within 14 days of your return to the UK. In this case we must also have notification of any complaints in the Resort at the time. Failure to take either of these steps will prevent Venture Ski from resolving the problem at the time or conducting a proper investigation. In consequence, any right to compensation you may have will be reduced or eliminated. Venture Ski resort staff are not authorised to offer any compensation or refund.
These conditions and any contract to which they apply are governed in all respects by English Law.
