Resort Jobs - 2011/12 Season
Our season starts in early December, running through to the end of April 2012.  We are currently accepting applications for the coming season from experienced and enthusiastic team members, ideally qualified and French speaking. We are recruiting for the following roles:

Resort Administrator
We are looking for a dedicated and highly motivated individual for this challenging role, who will be key to the resort management team. As Logistics and Stores Manager you will assist the Resort Manager in all logistical matters and will be responsible for the running of all the resort stores including food, drink, linen, laundry and chemicals. You will assist in organising resort staff and ensure that the Venture Ski high standards are maintained in resort.  You will be responsible for stock control and organisation of the stores room and supplies for the chalet operation.  You will liaise with the local suppliers and have financial responsibilities for the resort.  It is diverse in its portfolio of duties but above all it ensures that correct purchasing and accounting procedures are adhered to and provides a key interface between the UK office, the resort team, and guests.

Chalet Managers
Our Chalet Managers run up to three chalets and are responsible for all aspects of the successful day to day management of those chalets.  The role is very diverse; from guest relations and staff management, to monitoring standards and logistical arrangements; you will need to have high standards of organisation and attention to detail with a pragmatic and enthusiastic approach.  You will be required to ski host your guests in and out of resort, so a passion for the mountain and excellent skiing and/or boarding skills are a must! A full and clean UK driving licence is also desirable. This is a really exciting way to gain management experience whilst having a lot of fun, and would really suit an out-going and adventurous ‘people person' looking to get involved in delivering a wide range of resort services.

Gourmet Chefs
Our Chefs are key members of the resort team and crucial to the delivery of the Venture Ski product.  A passion for food, people and the mountain is essential to be successful in this role.  We are looking for hard working, sociable, organised individuals with catering experience and/or qualifications, to care for between 6 and 20 guests.  You will provide breakfast, afternoon tea and four course dinner, as well as providing a source of information to ensure we exceed the expectations of our guests.  These are demanding roles, but the rewards are high and our unique bespoke offering will ensure you have plenty of opportunity to flex your culinary muscles.  We will expect flexibility and team spirit to ensure the customer comes first.

Chalet Hosts
Our Chalet Hosts are responsible for looking after all aspects of chalet services, ensuring the guest's holiday expectations are not only met, but exceeded! You will provide breakfast, afternoon tea and four course dinner for between four and 8 guests, as well as undertaking a range of cleaning tasks.  We are looking for hard working, sociable, organised individuals with catering experience and/or qualifications.  A fun and outgoing personality, with a flexible attitude and passion for the mountain is essential; this role is a great way to gain experience in catering and customer care as well as a fantastic way to meet new people and have some adventure and fun.

Chalet Assistants
Our Chalet Assistants look after guests in our chalets to ensure their every need is met and they have an exceptional holiday experience with Venture Ski.  You will support the chef during meal times, as well as undertaking a range of catering and cleaning tasks.  Enthusiasm, liveliness, friendliness and a passion for the mountain are key attributes to this job, together with a "can do" attitude.  It is a great way to gain experience in catering and customer care as well as a fantastic way to meet new people and have some adventure and fun.

Resort Assistants
Our Resort Assistants directly support our chalet teams by assisting in cleaning and maintaining the Venture Ski luxury chalets, and the conference and banquetting facility. Working closely with the Logisitcs and Stores Manager they will keep all stores clean and in good order, and on a rotaion system will serve guests in the Venture Ski coffee and internet lounge. Enthusiasm, liveliness, friendliness and a passion for the mountain are key attributes to this job, together with a "can do" attitude.  It is a great way to gain experience in hospitality and customer care as well as a fantastic way to meet new people and have some adventure and fun.  

Massage Therapist & Spa Manager
Working in our swimming pool and health suite, the massage therapist and Spa manager is responsible for all elements of running the Spa; from cleanliness, safety and supervision to massage and other therapies.  Candidates should be outgoing and highly customer focused, ideally with a passion for winter sports that will be complimentary to the Spa treatments.  Qualifications and experience as well as enthusiasm will need to be demonstrated.

Childcare
Qualified nannies are essential to the Venture Ski team and to the experience our guests enjoy.  Our luxury chalets and the tranquil resort area in Sainte Foy provide an idyllic setting to ensure we can give our younger guests a holiday to match their parents' out on the slopes.  A loving, patient and caring attitude is essential to this role.  Experience as a private nanny or in a day-care centre is highly desirable.  Part of the childcare team will include our Head Nanny who will be completely responsible for all aspects involved with setting up and running a fully operational crèche.  The successful Head Nanny will not only have an excellent approach to childcare, but will have the ability to liaise with the parents and put them completely at ease with the arrangements surrounding their child's holiday programme.

Driver / Handyman
These positions demand a great deal of flexibility and interface with our guests.  Our drivers need to be self motivated, pro-active, sociable and happy to help in any situation.  This position also calls for a high level of practical ability as well as responsibility and awareness.  Applicants must have a full clean driving license and be over 25 at a minimum.  There is also a requirement to fulfil general maintenance duties and applications from skilled or semi-skilled candidates are particularly desired!  This part of the job requires a flexible approach as you will be required to turn your hand to a very wide variety of tasks. Duties will include; painting and decorating, minor plumbing and electrical repairs, joinery and other chalet maintenance activities.

Mountain Chef courses focus on equipping people with the cookery skills they need to work successfully as a Chalet Chef or Chalet Host, and are the only cookery school offering an Advanced Chalet Chef course to assist experienced chefs in developing their menus and budgeting after working a few seasons.
