Travel

Fly, take the train, or drive; it's up to you!

Sainte Foy is one of the more accessible locations in the Alps.  There are four easy ways to get here.

>> Fly and Transfer
>> Fly Drive
>> Snow Train
>> Self Drive

You may wish to make your own arrangements - please just let us know your estimated time of arrival in the resort, so we can be ready to greet you.  Alternatively, contact our customer service team who will be pleased to advise and help you make arrangements for travel. You can also find a lot of useful information from the Ski Club of Great Britain.  Go to http://www.skiclub.co.uk/skiclub/membersonly/discounts/skicompanies.asp to find out more. Alternatively if you are new to skiing you can read some helpful tips here http://www.myfirstskitrip.co.uk/.

Fly and Transfer
We can offer advice on low-cost airlines or our luxury private jet partners.
There are a number of low cost airlines offering flights to our nearby airports:  Here are a few ideas:

Flybe fly direct to Chambery from Southampton, Birmingham, Exeter and Norwich.
Jet2 fly direct to Chambery from Leeds Bradford and Manchester.
EasyJet fly to Geneva and Grenoble from London Luton, Bristol and Bournemouth.
Ryanair fly to Grenoble from London Stansted.
Flyglobespan fly to Geneva or Chambery from Edinburgh.

Try http://www.ski-flights.com/ as a useful online resource or simply call our Customer Service team anytime and they'll instantly give you the best advice.

The majority of our guests use our airport transfer service.  We can arrange transfers to and from the airports of Chambery, Grenoble, Lyon or Geneva direct to your chalet door.  This reliable and courteous service is a good way to relax for the final part of your journey.  Our drivers will be there at the arrival gate to assist with your luggage.  We pick up each party specifically to avoid waiting around and maximise your holiday time in the resort.

To speed up your journey even further, helicopter transfers can be arranged, depending on weather.  In the event that the weather prevents helicopter transfers at the last minute, then we will ensure a road transfer alternative is on hand.

Fly Drive
Lyon (120 miles / 2 1/2 hours), Grenoble (120 miles / 2 1/2 hours), Geneva (92 miles / 2 3/4 hours) and Chambery (72 miles / 1 1/2 hours) are the most regularly used airports and are served by a variety of charter, scheduled and low-cost airline services.  The most appropriate airport will depend on availability from your departure point in the UK.  Our customer service team keep themselves up to date with the latest offers and can offer advice.

Once in the Alps, most of the well known car hire firms are available.  Again we can make recommendations if necessary.  We can also give you an update on the weather just before your departure and let you know if snow chains should be hired.

Snow Train
Rail travel across Europe goes from strength to strength, and is arguably the best way to relax and get into the holiday spirit the moment you leave your door.

The train goes through to Bourg St Maurice, where our resort team can arrange your transfers straight to the chalet, approximately a 15-20 minute drive.

There are day or overnight services available.

Self Drive
Driving from the UK, Sainte Foy is 575 miles from Calais, of which approximately 500 miles is on motorway.

Channel crossings can be done by Tunnel, Ferry or Hovercraft.

For Driving Directions, we recommend http://www.viamichelin.com/viamichelin/int/tpl/hme/MaHomePage.htm as a very useful website to get route maps, directions, overnight B&B's and other driving information. If you are using a satellite navigation system to direct you to the chalets please be aware that the San Bernardino pass is closed during the winter - this has caught plenty of people out before! We are more than happy to send you directions for our recommended route if you plan to self drive - just speak to our customer service team!

Whichever way you choose to get here, our team are available to advise on your travel arrangements, and once in the resort, we will be here to welcome you from your journey and ensure your Venture Ski holiday starts the moment you arrive.

We are looking forward to seeing you!
