| Set spectacularly high in the Arc mountains, Les Arcs is a wonderful modern resort with inspiring skiing. It boasts an amazing snow record and has excellent skiing for all abilities. The variety of skiing is huge from steep blacks to wide open cruising runs. Since December 2003 the Paradiski cable-car opened, linking Les Arcs with La Plagne to form one of the largest ski areas in the world (over 425km of piste skiing!). Les Arcs is made up of four villages - Arc 1600, Arc 1800, Arc 1950 and Arc 2000. Arc 1800 is the largest village with a lively atmosphere and excellent access to skiing.
The Villaroger base station, just 10 minutes from your Venture Ski chalet, is a perfect place to park and launch yourself into this amazing ski area, but watch out on the way back - the final run is one of the longest descents you will ski - 2km vertical drop and an estimated 14km in length - can you join the group of Venture Ski'ers who have made the descent without stopping? - 23 minutes remains the record!
La Plagne is a ski area ranging from 1250m to 3250m… 220km of piste, comprising of 132 pisted runs… 10 000 hectares of playground… and then there’s Paradiski (La Plagne, Peisey-Vallandry, Les Arcs), one of the biggest ski areas in the world!

La Plagne is equipped with three outstanding snowparks (Bellecôte, Montchavin and Champagny en Vanoise), and three boardercross circuits. Of these, the one in Bellecôte is naturally made, snaking between pine and larch trees with numerous handrails and jumps. Also provided are a sound system and barbecue sites… all for the new freestyle generation!
La Plagne also boasts an Olympic bobsleigh piste, open to public and professionals alike… artificial walls and natural waterfalls to practise ice climbing… the Jean-Luc Cretier slalom stadium, purpose-built and floodlit for night skiing and hosting the major international competitions...
