Ruth Edge wins Festival of British Eventing // 06.AUGUST.2008
Sponsored by Venture Ski for the past four years and held in the grounds of Princess Anne's house at Gatcombe near Stroud, the Fesitval of British Eventing is the highlight of British Equestrian calendar. Whilst the Olympic team is now out in Hong Kong, including past Venture Ski guests William Fox-Pitt and Mary King, the field was strong as it included European No.1 and paparazzi favorite Zara Phillips. In fact the event is now run by Zara's brother Peter, whose own wedding two months ago was splashed across many of the tabloids. Venture Ski not only sponsor a prize for the winner and the 'Venture Ski Jump', they also built a six-metre ski 'chalet' complete with log burner, leather sofas, a kitchen and a Gourmet Chef!
Minnie's Party raises over £40,000 for Sands // 04.JUNE.2008
We were very proud when one of our luxury ski holiday's raised one of the highest bids at a charity auction in aid of the stillbirth & neonatal death charity 'Sands'. F1 racing legend Michael Schumacher was among the many people who donated items for the auction which was organised by Ferrari race engineer Rob Smedley and his wife Lucy after they lost their child during birth last year.
