Venture Ski is a service-driven company that brings excitement and adventure back into the holiday experience, without compromising on quality or comfort. Our aim is to deliver an unrivalled experience to our clients, through fabulous locations, wonderful accommodation and outstanding personal attention - to ensure your stay with us is a time when you can do exactly what you want.
Drawing from experience in the Alps over the last 25 years, we have designed a service that draws on our best experiences of delivering and enjoying fantastic Alpine breaks, and that avoids the pitfalls. But we don't know everything, and all people are not the same, so we also allow our service to be tailored to your needs, both before and during your stay. Customer focus is our mantra.
Our staff are courteous, helpful and friendly and are dedicated to ensuring your needs are met. Your time on holiday is too valuable to risk. However, we also ensure our staff have fun, as we want there to be something unique about the relaxed informal atmosphere of a Venture Ski holiday. A key part of a Venture Ski holiday is the exclusive chalets we are able to offer. It is a key part of our philosophy to deliver the best possible service for our chalet owners so we can build a growing portfolio of accommodation for our clients; who in turn know they can be certain of the high standard of accommodation that Venture Ski can offer.
Meet the Team!
The people that own and run Venture Ski are not only keen skiers but are dedicated to developing a successful business devoted to customer service. Founded by Peter Duke and joined shortly afterwards by Mark Livesey, Venture Ski is Sainte Foy's largest provider of luxury catered ski chalet holidays.
Formerly a Captain in the Armed Air Corps, Peter served in the first Gulf War flying combat helicopters. After a decade in the Services he went on to qualify as an FCCA (Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants) becoming the Finance Director of a major IT company. Peter is the founder and driving force behind Venture Ski and he lives in Buckinghamshire with his partner Rachel and their six children! You may have seen them on Virgin 1 channel when they won the Restaurant in our Living Room TV series.
Mark lived in the Far East for over twelve years and has a career spanning over 19 years in sports marketing. Before Venture Ski , he spent ten years in Sir Frank Williams' Formula One & Touring Car racing teams, in charge of several aspects of their marketing. In his spare time he loves flying helicopters, mountain biking, is a PADI Divemaster and LTA tennis coach. Whenever he gets the opportunity, Mark enjoys taking guests through the on and off-piste ski runs around the mountain in Sainte Foy.
Not just friends, but a team of like-minded business people whose passion for skiing and love of sun, fun, the outdoors and especially a bit of luxury, has led them to form a dynamic company dedicated to giving you the best customer service and holiday experience they can: Venture Ski.
The UK Office
Our Customer Service desk is always open and ready to answer your questions as soon as possible. To make sure your holiday preparations are all in-hand is Julian Preston. Julian did his first season in the French Alps in Val d'Isere, but then discovered the untracked powder and uncrowded pistes of Sainte Foy. Since he joined us in 2006, Julian has been based in the UK, but we do occasionally let him back out to the resort!
At the heart of the service we strive to deliver each season is the resort team and the person who spends most of her time planning, recruiting and administering some 30 team members and interviewing nearly 500 candidates for ski season jobs each year is Ellie Osmond.
